As a leader within the media team, this individual will provide strategic leadership while still demonstrating a deep knowledge of SEO/GEO in order to provide value to clients and internal DAC resources.

The key objectives for this role are four-fold:

  • Ensure DAC’s SEO/GEO offering is in line with the expectations of both the industry and ourselves as an award-winning agency. This includes working with the SVP Media to draft new/updated client-facing offerings.

  • As a thought leader within the agency, to be at the forefront of AIO/GEO and innovation, generally, and specifically as relates to SEO. Share this knowledge broadly within the org.
  • Build and lead a world-class SEO team that can scale with the needs of the agency’s business. This role requires a proven ability to manage growing teams in the face of change, including ensuring team knowledge is current, staffing and resourcing is effective for our client mix, and work is distributed appropriately across the team.  Effective team management is as important as in-depth knowledge of the changing SEO/AIO/GEO space.

  • Hire, train and build out a world-class team in a way that satisfies the needs of existing clients, and includes the skillset, talent, and roles/levels necessary to scale for future needs and growth
  • Act as DAC’s most senior-level client-facing subject matter expert for clients that have significant SEO programs even/especially when you are not on the account(s) yourself
  • Be at the forefront of AI and innovation for the agency, including working on internal projects, and identifying and spearheading new initiatives
  • Ensure UK/EU team is fully integrated and supported in the same way as the North American team, and able to support DAC’s UK/EU offices appropriately. Stay up to date on staffing needs/clients/pitches/etc. across all offices.
  • Support internal training initiatives including authoring materials and leading training sessions on key SEO/GEO initiatives, new offerings, etc.
  • Create sales/pitch and marketing materials
  • Assist in development of new business pitch materials; attend and present in pitches
  • Provide thought leadership where applicable, including within DAC’s owned content as well as conferences and events
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of SEO/GEO and its impact to business
  • Stay up to date with the industry, including trends, new vendors, etc. and ensure that information is shared with relevant DAC teams
  • Track and measure program health and report on it to Senior Vice President Media, agency executives and account teams, as required

Preferred Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in SEO, including technical and content (on-site, off-site including marketplaces), LLMs/AI/GEO, and relevant programming languages
