Job Description

This is your opportunity to join our team of forward-thinking, change-making individuals. Operating at the intersection of health and tech, you'll help us shape the future of healthcare.

Our Mission

Healthengine’s mission is to improve access to healthcare by helping Australians find and connect with all care providers. We strive to achieve this through Australia’s leading healthcare marketplace, bringing together over 4 million active Australians, and more than 10 thousand practitioners that are powered by our technology - and growing.

We’re all patients, right? So, it’s easy to get behind a mission that seeks to improve the healthcare experience for all Australians.

The Gig

The Content & SEO Marketing Manager is responsible for shaping and managing the production of content that drives brand awareness, discoverability, and engagement across Healthengine’s marketing ecosystem. Responsible for content effectiveness, the role ensures all content — from thought leadership and product pages to lead generation assets and SEO-optimised articles — is purposeful, consistent, and aligned to Marketing KPIs across Patient (B2C) and Provider (B2B) audience

The role will collaborate closely with internal designers, marketing acquisition leads, product teams, and sales to deliver high-quality, data-informed content that strengthens Healthengine’s brand presence and fuels lead generation and conversion.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute Healthengine’s content marketing strategy to support brand awareness, acquisition, and engagement across both Patient (B2C) and Provider (B2B) audiences.
  • Own end-to-end content production, from briefing and creation through to publication and optimisation, working with internal designers, freelancers, agencies, and contributing hands-on writing where required.
  • Develop and maintain a content and channel calendar aligned to campaign launches, product updates, SEO priorities, and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and consistent, applying Healthengine’s tone of voice, messaging framework, and brand standards across all owned channels.
  • Lead SEO strategy and execution across Healthengine websites and landing pages to drive organic traffic growth, visibility, and discoverability.
  • Conduct keyword research, content gap analysis, and optimisation reviews to identify opportunities to improve rankings, relevance, and audience reach.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing Operations, and Analytics teams to improve website performance, technical SEO, and content discoverability.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Acquisition Leads to ensure content supports paid, organic, and lifecycle campaigns, including landing pages, nurture content, and conversion assets.
  • Work closely with Sales and Product teams to produce high-intent content such as case studies, product guides, thought leadership, and lead-generation assets.
  • Repurpose and extend high-performing content across multiple channels including website, email, social, PR, and paid media.
  • Manage external content contributors and agencies, ensuring quality, deadlines, and outputs are aligned to briefs and performance expectations.
  • Measure, report, and optimise content performance, tracking metrics such as traffic, rankings, backlinks, MQLs, and conversions, and continuously refining content based on data and insights.

About You

You're the kind of person who takes accountability in a fast-paced, autonomous and flexible environment. Fast may be your default (like us!) but you never, ever compromise on what’s important, willing to take a steady, more informed approach when it comes to maintaining the trust of our team and customers. You handle change like a pro, and continuous improvement is a way of life. You are not afraid to speak up and share your thoughts respectfully, with the intention of making positive change. You take initiative and drive your own learning journey without waiting for someone to point you in the right direction. And ultimately, you care: about people, health and innovation.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or SEO strategy.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, keyword strategy, and on-page optimisation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple content streams, agencies, and creative partners.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, tone, and purpose.
  • Advance experience using tools such as Google Search Console, SEMRush / Ahrefs, Looker Studio, and GA4.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
