Job Description

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will support the campaign marketing team in planning, implementing, and optimising SEO-focused marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition and engagement. You will be responsible for analysing SEO performance, identifying opportunities for growth, and coaching the marketing and wider teams on strategies to maximise organic search traffic, keyword rankings, and user engagement.

 

What you'll do:

  • Coach and train marketers in vertical-level best practices for digital marketing, specifically focusing on SEO best practices, tracking and analytics, and conversion rate optimisation.
  • Plan and execute SEO strategies, including technical SEO, keyword research, on-page optimisation, link-building initiatives, and content optimisation, to ensure first-page rankings for key terms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and content creators to integrate SEO best practices into website content, blogs, landing pages, and other digital assets.
  • Perform technical audits of websites to identify issues impacting organic visibility and collaborate with developers and central web support to implement fixes.
  • Centralise reporting on SEO performance to the Head of Digital Insights and Data Operations, providing insights into keyword rankings, organic traffic trends, and engagement metrics.
  • Oversee digital analytics and campaign tracking to monitor benchmarks, track success, and refine strategies for improving website traffic and organic conversions.
  • Partner with central website support to drive an annual program of A/B testing to improve user experience and conversion rates on event sites.
  • Collaborate with event producers and marketing teams to ensure website conversion rate optimisation, focusing on SEO value propositions, call-to-action usage, messaging hierarchies, and landing page performance.
  • Support Marketing Managers in creating performance reports that highlight organic search KPIs, traffic trends, and channel-specific growth opportunities.

 

Qualifications

What you'll need:

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in SEO, including technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and content strategy to improve organic rankings and traffic.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console or other...
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and experience setting up and managing tracking to measure SEO performance.
  • Proven experience in driving organic traffic growth, improving keyword rankings, and increasing website visibility in competitive markets.
  • Solid understanding of website architecture, user experience, and how they influence SEO performance.
  • Experience in creating and executing link-building strategies to enhance domain authority.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and website optimisation to improve organic conversions.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Marketing or a digital-related field.
  • Proven success in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment.
  • B2B events marketing experience and ability to adapt quickly to different business verticals.
  • Experience managing external agencies for SEO campaigns and audits is a plus.
