Summary

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist is a key contributor to Buckle’s Digital Marketing Team. The teammate in this role will work to provide the best guest experience by improving the discoverability and performance of Buckle’s retail website and other brand-related platforms and ensuring optimization of current search standards to improve overall brand awareness, traffic and revenue.

Search Engine Optimization & Site Search

  • Work with Sr. SEO Strategist to execute specific SEO and search duties as assigned, including updating page meta data and links, refreshing on-page content based on research, and proactively identifying website technical aspects for potential optimizations.
  • Provide keyword-related research for campaigns and additional content opportunities and showcase simple actionable insights and next steps based on the research.
  • Lead and push innovation in eCommerce search success by researching and recommending new growth opportunities related to organic search and shopping.
  • Monitor algorithm changes and eCommerce SEO trends to identify and implement opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Sr. SEO Strategist to align SEO efforts with marketing calendars, promotions, and product launches.
  • Partner with other Marketing Teammates to identify additional search opportunities, including social media, video, artificial intelligence, and related platforms.

Technical SEO & Site Performance

  • Conduct regular site audits to identify crawl, indexing, speed, and mobile usability issues and partner with IT and web teams to implement fixes.
  • Assist in developing SEO requirements for new digital features, site enhancements, and redesigns.
  • Research and track performance KPIs such as search traffic, bounce rate, conversion rate, and keyword rankings, and communicate performance and trend updates to stakeholders.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Two to three years with hands-on SEO experience.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console (GSC), Google Ads, and related analytics and search platforms (ex. Conductor, Moz, SEM Rush, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, notably Excel, a plus.
  • Experience in technical recommendations and strategies for website builds, website development and related skills a plus.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle and complete errands based on business needs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
