Senior SEO Strategist | Full time, permanent

Work schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Mandatory in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
Remote optional days are on Wednesday and Thursday
About the Role
As a Senior SEO Strategist, you will drive organic growth for our B2B SaaS clients by developing and executing data-driven SEO strategies. You’ll conduct in-depth keyword research, optimize website content and technical SEO, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage analytics to measure and refine performance. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and content optimization to enhance search visibility, drive conversions, and achieve business goals.

Develop and implement custom SEO strategies aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.
Conduct in-depth keyword research, site audits, and competitive analysis to identify optimization opportunities.
Optimize website content, meta tags, internal linking structures, and technical elements to improve search rankings and visibility.
Collaborate with our Digital Marketing and Conversion teams to align SEO initiatives with digital marketing and conversion optimization efforts.
Make strategic recommendations to our Copy team to ensure content is optimized for organic performance.
Execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies, including link-building campaigns and outreach initiatives.
Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like SEMrush, GA4, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs to track key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Develop custom reports and dashboards to measure SEO performance, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
Present findings, performance updates, and optimization strategies in bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly client meetings.
Stay ahead of industry trends, algorithm updates, and evolving best practices to continuously refine strategies.
You may be a fit for this role if you:
Have 7+ years of experience in SEO strategy, with a focus on B2B SaaS or B2B.
Are highly proficient in SEO tools like SEMrush, GA4, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs and have strong Google Sheets skills (e.g. formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
Have a deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, including site structure, indexation, and schema markup.
Have experience conducting SEO audits and developing data-driven, actionable recommendations.
Understand the relationship between SEO and CRO, ensuring search traffic converts into meaningful business outcomes.
Have experience setting measurable SEO goals and KPIs and translating insights into client-friendly reports.
Are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to work across content, development, and account management teams.
Thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, managing multiple projects with precision and efficiency.

We work onsite to be intentional about optimizing collaboration and creativity on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays (remote work is optional on Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Workstations include a MacBook and an ergonomic sit-stand desk.
Our 2 kitchen cafes are stocked with really, really good coffee.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
We review compensation annually against external data to stay competitive with similar agency roles in Alberta’s market.
We offer a performance-based bonus structure that rewards impact and excellence.
