SEO/SEM Manager
JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for driving overall digital revenue for the Coury Hospitality and Brand websites. Manager oversees all areas of digital marketing including websites, SEO, paid advertising, and other digital marketing efforts.
REPORTS TO
Reports to the Corporate Executive Director, Marketing and Digital Strategy.
SUPERVISES
Does not directly supervise others but works with corporate team, property General Managers and Experience Curators.
Primary JOB FUNCTIONS
- Search Engine Optimization
- Develop optimization strategies to increase search engine results rankings
- Research SEO keywords to use throughout the websites and marketing materials
- Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts
- Monitor performance metrics
- Collaborate with others to manage SEO strategy
- Write compelling and high-quality website content
- Update content and website links for maximum optimization
- Digital Advertising for Hotels & Outlets
- Develop and monitor campaign budgets
- Oversee ongoing campaigns with partner agencies
- Paid Social Media Advertising
- Oversee social media paid advertising on channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest
- Create campaigns to increase traffic based upon set KPIs
- Digital KPI Measurement & Optimization
- Establish and monitor ROI and KPIs
- Website Development & Launch
- Assist agency in launching new websites
- Create and host a splash page before full website is launched
- Work with property teams to ensure suffice content is provided
- Ensure ADA compliance
- Domain Registration and Upkeep
- Work with GoDaddy to purchase domains
- Maintain renewals of domains
- Ongoing Website Maintenance Support
- Oversee maintenance of current websites
- Work with Experience Curators to ensure content is current and optimized
- Work with agency on portfolio-wide updates
- Evaluate important metrics that affect our website traffic, conversions, and leads
- Improve the design, UX, traffic, and content of websites
- Email Marketing Support
- Develop portfolio-wide templates
- Work with Experience Curators to measure and optimize campaigns
- Text Marketing Launch & Support
- Launch text marketing initiative
- Work with Experience Curators to measure and optimize campaigns
- Prepare accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance
- Measure all digital efforts and prepare reports monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Improve marketing efforts based upon reporting
- Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry
- Work with the team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most work is done independently in an office setting, indoors, and in temperature controlled environment, but there may be times when work may be conducted in temporary conditions different from the above.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Corporate Executive Director of Marketing & Digital Strategy, Corporate Director of Marketing, Chief Commercial Officer, General Managers, Sales Leaders, Experience Curators, Executive Chefs, and Restaurant Managers.
External: Sales account representatives, vendor support staff, and vendor technical support.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a digital marketing or advertising position
- Deep knowledge of web design principles
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
- Experience in optimizing website pages and user funnels
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
- Experience working with a content management system
- Strong project management skills
- Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to:

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:
- Remain in stationary position for 4 hours or more at a time.
